Check out this great article about a guy who quit drinking and made non alcoholic substitutes!

Having a drink minus the alcohol

"Non alcoholic wine is a great option when other people are drinking the real thing. Photo / Supplied I didn't even know there was such thing as alcohol-free wine and beer. But then I hopped on the wagon a month ago and was keen to find out what my ..."

"DeVine Health. The brainchild of David Yule is a website dedicated to sourcing and delivering alcohol-free wine and beer.
Yule gave up booze about 20 years ago because he was drinking too much and felt it was affecting his health. "I've lived a better life ever since," he says. In the mid-90s, and living in Australia, he "want[ed] to be able to be sociable without the orange juice or coca-cola". After a short spell supplying to supermarkets, DeVine Health was born."
We are thinking of trying a few of these for some of our recipes to get that genuine flavor.  What do you think?

Float to Heaven

This is quite possibly our best recipe yet!  New twist on an old favorite.  I give you, the Float to Heaven.  This recipe is designed for about 7-8 people.  Blows the roof off any root beer float.  The cocoa powder distinguishes it in a very unique fashion.  It appeals to your whole taste pallet adding a new level of euphoric taste.

- Add 3/4 teaspoon cocoa powder and a few drops of vanilla extract to 2 liters root beer, mix well
- Put 2-3 scoops ice cream in each cup
- Fill to just below brim with root beer
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings

The J.D. for 4!

Happy valentines day friends.  In honor of this day of lovin', pink, and cheEeEessy-ness, we give you a completely unrelated drink! The J.D! (more commonly known as an appletini).

Recipe (for about 4 or more)
4 cups apple juice (5 for a less sour taste)
1 cup sour apple martini syrup
1/2 cup lemon juice concentrate
apple slice garnish on rim

Optional but recommended:

Grab 2 small round plates. On the first plate cover the bottom of plate with lemon juice; on the second one, make a circle about the size of a martini glass out of sugar.  Flip the martini glasses upside down and dip it into the lemon juice so that the top of the rim has a film of lemon juice on it.  Then dip the glass in the plate of sugar.  This should give you a ring of sugar around your glasses, adding that extra zing of sweetness to your drinks!
